Softball Game Preview: Assumption Mustangs vs. Walker Wildcats

The Assumption Mustangs will head out on the road to challenge the Walker Wildcats at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The teams are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: Assumption has struggled recently with four defeats in a row, while Walker will arrive with three straight victories.

Assumption saw some tournament action on Saturday. They lost 13-3 to Prairieville.

Assumption saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Isabella Domingue, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double. Another was Daci Rivere, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one run.

Meanwhile, Walker faced Pineville in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. The Wildcats sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with an 8-6 win over the Rebels.

Assumption's loss dropped their record down to 6-14. As for Walker, their victory bumped their record up to 12-3.
