Volleyball Recap: Arcanum Trojans vs. Fort Recovery Indians
After flying high against Tri-County North last Saturday, Arcanum came back down to earth. The Arcanum Trojans came up short against the Fort Recovery Indians on Wednesday, falling 3-0. The Trojans were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Indians apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in August.
Arcanum took the loss but they managed to make steady progress, increasing their score in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-17, 25-18, 25-20.
Several Trojans players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Grace Fry, who had seven digs and two aces. Fry is on a roll when it comes to aces, as she's now served two or more in the last three games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Matty Noe, who had five digs and ten assists.
Arcanum's defeat dropped their record down to 19-4. As for Fort Recovery, their victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 12-13.
Arcanum does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Fort Recovery has already played their next game, a 3-0 win against Miami Valley Christian Academy on the 26th.
