Basketball Recap: Whitefield Academy Beats Bullitt East for Their Fourth Straight Win

Bullitt East came into Tuesday's game looking for another win against Whitefield Academy, but Noel Smith wouldn't allow it. The Whitefield Academy Wildcats walked away with a 56-45 victory over the Bullitt East Chargers on Tuesday thanks in part to Smith, who dropped a double-double on 23 points and ten boards. That makes it three consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of Whitefield Academy's points.

The team also got some help courtesy of Mia Braffet, who posted nine points and seven rebounds. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in boards.

The win keeps them at an undefeated 4-0. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 48.2 points. As for Bullitt East, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.

Whitefield Academy wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 66-27 victory against Washington County on the 12th. As for Bullitt East, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 66-9 win against Fern Creek on the 13th.
