Baseball Recap: Philipsburg-Osceola Comes Up Short

After flying high against Central on Tuesday, Philipsburg-Osceola came back down to earth. The Mountaineers fell 8-3 to the Huntingdon Bearcats on Thursday. The match marked the Mountaineers' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Philipsburg-Osceola saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Parker Lamb, who went 1-for-4 with one stolen base, one double, and one RBI. Sam McDonald was another, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with one run.

Philipsburg-Osceola's loss was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 7-1 and their overall record down to 8-2. As for Huntingdon, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 9-3.
