Softball Game Preview: Legacy Christian Academy Eagles vs. Lake Country Christian Eagles

Legacy Christian Academy will square off against Lake Country Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Legacy Christian Academy knows how to get runs on the board -- the squad has finished with ten runs or more in their past three contests -- so hopefully Lake Country Christian likes a good challenge.

Last Tuesday, Legacy Christian Academy didn't have quite enough to beat Prestonwood Christian and fell 17-16.

Lynlee Kennedy and Mallary Renner stepped up to the plate in a big way. Kennedy scored three runs while going 2-for-4, while Renner scored two runs while going 2-for-4. Renner has been hot recently, having also posted three or more RBI the last three times she's played. Kylie Carlock was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two triples and two runs.

Meanwhile, Tuesday just wasn't the day for Lake Country Christian's offense. They came up short against Fort Worth Country Day last Tuesday, falling 9-0. While getting shut out isn't ideal, the Eagles haven't been shut out since back in March.

Lake Country Christian has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-9 record this season. As for Legacy Christian Academy, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 18-10-1.

Legacy Christian Academy took their victory against Lake Country Christian when the teams last played back in March of 2023 by a conclusive 10-0 score.
