Recap: Salem Wildcats vs. Richland County Tigers
The Salem Wildcats pushed their score all the way to 55 on Saturday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They took a 62-55 hit to the loss column at the hands of Richland County. Salem has struggled against Richland County recently, as their contest on Saturday was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.
Richland County's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kyrstin Weiler, who scored 21 points. The team also got some help courtesy of GRAYCE BURGENER, who scored 15 points.
Salem's defeat dropped their record down to 10-8. As for Richland County, their victory bumped their record up to 8-9.
Salem will head out on the road to face off against St. Anthony at 12:00 p.m. on Monday. One thing working in St. Anthony's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last five contests. As for Richland County, they will be playing at home against Casey-Westfield at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Casey-Westfield is hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses.
