Softball Recap: Boerne Comes Up Short

Boerne blew New Braunfels out of the water the last time the pair played, but on Tuesday New Braunfels got their revenge. The Boerne Greyhounds fell just short of the New Braunfels Unicorns by a score of 6-4. The Greyhounds were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Unicorns apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in March of 2022.

Boerne's defeat was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 6-5. As for New Braunfels, their victory bumped their record up to 14-5.

Boerne and New Braunfels should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings. Boerne will take on Wagner at 7:00 p.m. on Friday up 482 places (414 vs. 896). Meanwhile, New Braunfels (ranked 146th) will meet Pieper (ranked 456th) at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday.
