Baseball Recap: Greeley Central Comes Up Short

Greeley Central was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They lost 19-0 to the Mountain View Mountain Lions. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Mountain Lions this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 4-1 last Saturday.

Greeley Central saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Angel Lopez-Meza, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one double.

Greeley Central's defeat dropped their record down to 1-10. As for Mountain View, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 5-5.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Greeley Central will square off against Wellington at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Mountain View, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Fort Collins at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
