Volleyball Game Preview: Irvington Preparatory Academy vs. Herron Achaeans

Irvington Preparatory Academy will face off against the Herron Achaeans at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Both teams are coming into the match red-hot, with Irvington Preparatory Academy sitting on four straight wins and Herron on three.

Irvington Preparatory Academy had won two straight home games and Jason Norton did his part to make it three on Saturday. Irvington Preparatory Academy put the hurt on Terre Haute South Vigo with a sharp 3-0 victory for which the team can thank Norton, who had eight aces, six digs, and one block. He has been hot recently, having posted six or more aces the last three times he's played.

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Irvington Preparatory Academy was: they took every set by at least 16 points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-9, 25-9, 25-9.

Meanwhile, Herron made easy work of Beech Grove on Thursday and carried off a 3-0 win.

Herron walked away with the victory (and looked especially good in the second set). The final score came out to 25-18, 25-12, 25-17.

The win got Herron back to even at 4-4. As for Irvington Preparatory Academy, they now have a winning record of 10-9.
