Petrolia snaps three-game streak of wins at home

After a string of three wins, the Petrolia Pirates's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They were beaten by Nocona 77-10. Petrolia has struggled against Nocona recently, as their matchup on Friday was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.

Petrolia's defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 9-12. As for Nocona, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 20-3.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Petrolia will challenge Seymour at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Nocona will be staying on the road on Tuesday to face off against Archer City at 6:15 p.m. on January 9th. Archer City will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings (they are ranked 1013th, while Nocona is ranked 36th).
