Football Recap: Loveland Red Wolves vs. Fossil Ridge SaberCats
Loveland was the 28-26 winner over Fossil Ridge when they last played one another back in August of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. The Loveland Red Wolves took a 24-17 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Fossil Ridge SaberCats on Friday.
Although Loveland took the loss, they still got scores from Cody Moore and Zayne Desouza.
A big part of the victory came down to the chemistry between Nick Kubat and his top target Marcus Mozer. Kubat threw for 276 yards and two touchdowns while Mozer picked up 147 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
Loveland's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Loveland will be defending their home-field for the first timethey go up against Mountain View at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Fossil Ridge, they will host Rock Canyon at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
