Basketball Recap: Southern Alamance Takes a Loss

Southern Alamance was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 11th straight defeat dating back to last season. They received a blow as they fell 68-50 to the Overhills Jaguars. While losing is never fun, the Patriots can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 536th, while the Jaguars are ranked 91st).

Southern Alamance's loss dropped their record down to 0-9. As for Overhills, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-2.

Southern Alamance will face off against Cedar Ridge at 8:15 p.m. on January 3, 2025. As for Overhills, they will be playing at home against Westover at 8:00 p.m. on January 3, 2025.
