            Nipomo came out on top against Santa Ynez  on Thursday thanks in part to the team's impressive seven-run sixth inning. The Titans put the hurt on the Pirates with a sharp  9-1 win. This was a revenge game for the Titans: when they faced off against the Pirates  on Tuesday, they had to take a  9-5  defeat.

 Aiden Mendoza looked comfortable as he  pitched 2.1 innings while giving up   no  earned runs or  hits. Nipomo is 4-1 when  Mendoza allows one or  fewer  earned runs, but 5-11 otherwise.
 On the hitting side,  the team  relied heavily on  Ethan Silveira, who  went 2-for-3 with two  runs, two  RBI,  and one  double. That's the most  RBI  he has posted since back in March.  Coming up, Nipomo will challenge Righetti at 10:00  a.m.  on Saturday. As for Santa Ynez, they will square off against Orcutt Academy at 4:30  p.m.  on Tuesday.
