Basketball Recap: Harmony School of Innovation Sugar Land Comes Up Short

On Friday, Harmony School of Innovation Sugar Land had to suffer through a 97-44 loss at the hands of the Almeta Crawford Chargers. While losing is never fun, Harmony School of Innovation Sugar Land can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 1141st, while Almeta Crawford is ranked 324th).

Leading Almeta Crawford to victory were Alvin Mosley and Bryce Vann. Mosley went 13 for 19 on his way to 28 points and eight steals, while Vann went 8 of 12 on his way to 17 points in addition to eight assists and four steals. The dominant performance gave Vann a new career-high in assists. The team also got some help courtesy of Darrion Boyd, who posted ten points and eight rebounds.

Harmony School of Innovation Sugar Land has traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-4 record this season. As for Almeta Crawford, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 14 of their last 15 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 19-6 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Harmony School of Innovation Sugar Land will venture away from home to face off against Fort Bend Willowridge at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Almeta Crawford, they will head out to take on Sealy at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams are headed into the matchup with plenty of momentum (Sealy has won three straight at home, while Almeta Crawford won seven straight on the road), something that'll have to change.
