Basketball Recap: Coral Glades Takes a Loss

Coral Glades was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They lost 51-29 to the Chaminade-Madonna Lions.

Chaminade-Madonna found their leader in freshman Nylah Lewis, who dropped a double-double on 24 points and ten rebounds. Those 24 points set a new season-high mark for Lewis. Another player making a difference was Jasmine D Horne, who almost dropped a double-double on nine points and 23 boards.

Coral Glades' defeat dropped their record down to 3-8. As for Chaminade-Madonna, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a massive bump to their 6-7 record this season.

Coral Glades wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 33-18 loss against Taravella on the 16th. As for Chaminade-Madonna, they will square off against Hallandale at 6:00 p.m. on January 23rd.
