Basketball Recap: Charlie Walker's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Terre Haute North Vigo over Northview

If Terre Haute North Vigo was riding high fresh off their 47-26 takedown of Terre Haute South Vigo on Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Terre Haute North Vigo Patriots fell 42-32 to the Northview Knights on Monday. The Patriots have struggled against the Knights recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

Several Patriots players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Charlie Walker, who posted three points along with eight rebounds and three steals. Walker is on a roll when it comes to boards, as she's now pulled down eight or more in the last three games she's played. Sage Lanning was another key player, putting up eight points.

Northview's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Carlee Schrader, who went 5 of 8 on her way to 15 points and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Brynlee Clarke, who had 12 points and five boards.

Terre Haute North Vigo's loss dropped their record down to 6-9. As for Northview, the victory was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 10-6.

Terre Haute North Vigo wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 52-36 win against West Vigo on the 2nd. As for Northview, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 46-27 victory against Parke Heritage on the 2nd.
