Softball Recap: Emporia Comes Up Short

Emporia was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 11-1 to the Topeka Trojans. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Trojans this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 4-1 on Tuesday.

Emporia saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Chloe Steele, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base.

Emporia's defeat dropped their record down to 6-13. As for Topeka, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-0.

Coming up, Emporia will face off against West at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Topeka does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
