Softball Game Preview: Memorial Mavericks vs. Legacy Leopards

Memorial is on a four-game streak of home losses, and Legacy an eight-game streak of away losses. However, someone's due for a change in luck on Tuesday. The Memorial Mavericks will welcome the Legacy Leopards at 6:30 p.m. Neither of those teams managed to put together many runs in their previous contests, so the offenses might be a little more motivated than usual.

On Friday, Memorial didn't have quite enough to beat Cooper and fell 3-2.

Olivia Vanderburg was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-3 with two doubles and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Ella Gollihugh, who went 1-for-4 with one triple, one run, and one RBI.

Meanwhile, Friday just wasn't the day for Legacy's offense. They lost 16-0 to Abilene on Friday.

Legacy's loss dropped their record down to 2-13. As for Memorial, their defeat dropped their record down to 12-18.

Memorial took their win against Legacy in their previous matchup two weeks ago by a conclusive 15-3 score. Do the Mavericks have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Leopards turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
