Baseball Game Preview: Struthers Wildcats vs. West Branch Warriors

Struthers is 0-3 against West Branch since May of 2022 but things could change on Friday. The Wildcats will head out on the road to take on the Warriors at 5:00 p.m. Neither Struthers nor West Branch posted many runs in their last games, so it might be the pitching crews that decide this one.

Struthers came into their game on Thursday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 10-0 to Boardman. The matchup marked the first time this season in which the Wildcats were not able to get on the board.

Meanwhile, West Branch came up short against Alliance on Wednesday and fell 7-2. The Warriors have struggled against the Aviators recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive lost matchup.

Struthers' loss dropped their record down to 5-9. As for West Branch, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-7.

Struthers might still be hurting after the 15-3 loss they got from West Branch when the teams last played back in May of 2025. Can the Wildcats avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
