Baseball Recap: Five Straight Road Victories for Cashion

Cashion entered their tilt with Sayre on Thursday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Eagles an 8-0 shutout. Considering the Wildcats have won 20 matchups by more than five runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Cashion pushed their record up to 27-5 with the victory, which was their fifth straight on the road. The road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.8 runs over those games. As for Sayre, their loss ended a 12-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 18-9.

Looking ahead, Cashion will host Christian Heritage at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Sayre, they will head out to take on Merritt at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
