Volleyball Recap: Red Mesa Takes a Loss + How To Watch

After flying high against Grand Canyon on Friday, Red Mesa came back down to earth. The Redskins lost 3-0 to the Ganado Hornets on Monday. The Redskins have struggled against the Hornets recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.

While Red Mesa was kept off the board, it wasn't for a lack of trying: they cut into Ganado's winning margin in every set. The final score came out to 25-11, 25-19, 25-23.

Shaundin Dixon was the offensive standout of the matchup as she had seven digs and two aces. Those seven digs gave her a new career-high. Shelby Lee also deserves some recognition as she served her first ace of the season.

Red Mesa's defeat dropped their record down to 7-6. As for Ganado, they pushed their record up to 14-11 with the win, which was their third straight at home.

Red Mesa wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 3-0 victory against Rough Rock on the 8th. As for Ganado, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-0 loss against Window Rock on the 8th.
