Gulfport is a perfect 3-0 against Pascagoula since February of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Gulfport Admirals will challenge the Pascagoula Panthers at 6:30 p.m. Gulfport is coming into the contest on a three-game losing streak.

Thursday just wasn't the day for Gulfport's offense. They fell 3-0 to D'Iberville on Thursday. That's two games in a row now that the Admirals have lost by exactly three runs.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Pascagoula duked it out with Long Beach on Thursday. Pascagoula won by a run and slipped past Long Beach 13-12.

The team relied heavily on Khyliyah Moore, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, one triple, and two RBI. That triple marked the first that she hit this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Asante Dawson, who scored a run and stole a base while going 3-for-4.

Moore wasn't the only one working in the hit department: Pascagoula kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 20 hits. That's the most hits they've posted since back in February of 2024.

Gulfport's defeat dropped their record down to 6-8. As for Pascagoula, their record is now 3-6.

Everything went Gulfport's way against Pascagoula when the teams last played back in February, as Gulfport made off with a 12-1 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Gulfport since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
