Basketball Recap: Jacob Hunter Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Desert Vista + How To Watch

Liberty not only won on Thursday, but they posted their biggest win since February 4th (when they won 81-40). They blew past the Desert Vista Thunder 80-54. The Lions have beaten the Thunder the last three times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Thunder has come to flipping the script.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Liberty to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jacob Hunter, who dropped a double-double with 21 points and 12 rebounds. What's more, Hunter also posted a 69% shooting accuracy, which is the highest he's achieved since back in December of 2024. Another player making a difference was Keegan Colter, who posted 13 points in addition to eight boards and six assists.

Liberty now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Desert Vista, they moved to 5-2 with that loss, which also ended their four-game winning streak.

Liberty didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 76-52 win against Sunrise Mountain on the 12th. As for Desert Vista, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 58-50 victory against Boulder Creek on the 12th.
