Basketball Recap: Holliday Takes a Loss

Holliday was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They were dealt a 53-22 defeat at the hands of the Malakoff Tigers. The contest marked the Eagles' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Holliday's loss dropped their record down to 3-11. As for Malakoff, the win (which was their 11th in a row) raised their record to 18-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Holliday will venture away from home to challenge Henrietta at 12:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Malakoff, they will head out on the road to take on Edgewood at 2:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams are headed into the matchup with plenty of momentum (Edgewood has won three straight at home, while Malakoff won seven straight on the road dating back to last season), something that'll have to change.
