Basketball Recap: Faith Academy of Freestone Takes a Loss

Faith Academy of Freestone was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They were dealt a 60-8 loss at the hands of the Still Creek Christian Colts. The contest marked the Warriors' lowest-scoring match so far this season.

Still Creek Christian got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Logan Walton out in front who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 11 rebounds. That's the most boards Walton has posted since back in January of 2024. Another player making a difference was Ethan Mangan, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 14 rebounds.

Faith Academy of Freestone's defeat dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Still Creek Christian, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 15-7.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Faith Academy of Freestone will square off against Mercy Prep Academy at 6:15 p.m. on February 4th. As for Still Creek Christian, they won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Spring Baptist Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
