On Tuesday J Waston struck out six batters over 2.2 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. The effort marked the most strikeouts Waston has had since back in February. As if that's not impressive enough, the pitching appearance was his fourth in a row with less than two walks. This season, he has an ERA of 12.25 over 16 innings pitched.

Waston's strong effort led Scott Central over Bay Springs and he'll get a chance to do so again: the teams have a rematch scheduled at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Rebels are a perfect 4-0 against the Bulldogs going back to March of 2024, a lead they'll look to extend.
