St. Anne-Pacelli took care of business in their home opener (barely) on Tuesday. They skirted past the Newnan Cougars 3-2. Winning may never get old, but the Vikings sure are getting used to it with their fifth in a row dating back to last season.

St. Anne-Pacelli was actually outscored in aggregate across those five sets (103-89), but they still managed to win. The final score came out to 25-20, 25-20, 12-25, 12-25, 15-13.

St. Anne-Pacelli found their leader in sophomore Allie Vickery, who had seven digs and two aces.

Newnan's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Sarah Frank, who had 18 digs and three assists, and Mia West, who had six digs and two aces.

St. Anne-Pacelli didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-0 win against Pike County on the 7th. As for Newnan, they have also already played their next game, a 2-0 victory against Heard County on the 7th.
