Preview: Timpson Bears vs. Ganado Indians

The Timpson Bears will head out on the road to face off against the Ganado Indians at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Timpson knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past 14 matches -- so hopefully Ganado likes a good challenge.

With a playoff game on the line, Timpson rose to the challenge on Friday. They came out on top against the Bulldogs by a score of 35-23. Timpson's victory was all the more impressive since Garrison was averaging only 13.86 points allowed on the season.

Terry Bussey continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 242 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 9.7 yards per carry, and also throwing for 124 yards and a touchdown while completing 71.4% of his passes.

Meanwhile, Ganado stacked a tenth blowout onto their ever-increasing hoard on Thursday. They breezed by Refugio on the road to the tune of 41-12. Ganado's victory was all the more impressive since Refugio was averaging only 13.71 points allowed on the season.

Ganado's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Dylan Holt, who rushed for 126 yards and a touchdown while picking up 7.4 yards per carry. Holt was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 57 yards. Bryce Ullman was another key contributor, throwing for 192 yards and three touchdowns on only 18 passes.

Timpson pushed their record up to 14-0 with that victory, which was their 12th straight at home dating back to last season. They've been dominating during the matchups in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 40.5 points. As for Ganado, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 12-2.
