Softball Preview: Langley Saxons vs. Chantilly Chargers        
        
		
            
 The Langley Saxons will play host again  on Tuesday to welcome the Chantilly Chargers, where first pitch is scheduled  at 6:30  p.m. Langley is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.6  runs per game  this season.
 Langley can now show off 12 landslide victories after their most recent  contest  on Friday. Their pitcher stepped up to hand George C. Marshall  a   14-0 shutout. Langley's pitching crew has been rock solid lately; the team hasn't given up a  run in their last three  games.
 The team  relied heavily on  Caitlin Hohenthaner, who  got on base  in all three of her plate appearances with a  home run, three  RBI,  and two  runs. The team also got some help courtesy of  Lauren Kim, who  scored a  run and  stole a base while going 2-for-2.
 Meanwhile, Tuesday just wasn't the day for Chantilly's offense. They lost  12-0 to James Madison on Tuesday. Having soared to a lofty 14  runs in the game before, Chantilly's shutout was a dramatic turnaround.
 Langley pushed their record up to 18-4-1 with that  victory, which was their fifth straight  at home. As for Chantilly, they have  traveled a rocky road recently having  lost ten of their last 12 matches,  which put a noticeable dent in their 3-13 record  this season.
 Langley took their  win against Chantilly  in their previous meeting  back in March of 2019 by a conclusive  10-2. Does  Langley have another victory up their sleeve, or will Chantilly turn the tables on them?  We'll have the answer soon enough.
