Football Recap: Bishop Union Extends Winning Streak to Three + How To Watch

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Bishop Union had no problem doing just that on Friday. They secured a 26-22 W over the Liberty Hawks. The win was familiar territory for the Broncos, who have now won three games in a row.

Bishop Union had a senior duo take command as Emory Dondero threw for 246 yards and three TDs while completing 71.4% of his passes and Carlos Sualez picked up 124 receiving yards and three touchdowns. Those 124 receiving yards set a new season-high mark for Sualez.

Bishop Union didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Richie Talavera and Elliott Douda.

Bishop Union's victory bumped their record up to 10-3. As for Liberty, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 12-1.

Coming up, Bishop Union will take on Woodlake at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Tigers' defense has only allowed 12.4 points per game this season, so the Broncos' offense will have their work cut out for them. Liberty does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
