Winning always takes teamwork, but on Friday Davontrae Kirkland stepped things up a notch to give University the 'W'. Kirkland wasn't messing around, making nine total tackles (1.0 for loss) and defending one pass in addition to snagging an interception. The game was his seventh straight with six or more total tackles dating back to last season.

University's road trip will continue as they head out to face China Spring at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
