Basketball Recap: Kayden Goss and Logan Wright Secure Win for Silverado

Silverado won the last time they faced Spring Valley and things went their way on Thursday too. The Silverado Skyhawks managed a 59-53 victory over the Spring Valley Grizzlies. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Skyhawks.

Silverado was led to victory by Logan Wright and Kayden Goss. Wright posted 12 points in addition to seven rebounds and four steals, while Goss went 6 of 10 on his way to 20 points and eight boards. The dominant performance gave Wright a new career-high in steals. Another player making a difference was Travis Fralin, who scored six points and six blocks.

Silverado is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 8-15 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 64.3 points per game. As for Spring Valley, they dropped their record down to 11-11 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight at home.

Silverado will host Durango at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Silverado knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past six contests -- so hopefully Durango likes a good challenge. As for Spring Valley, they will venture away from home to square off against Centennial at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. One thing working in Centennial's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last 15 matchups.
