There's no place like home for Wesson, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They put the hurt on the Bogue Chitto Bobcats with a sharp 14-1 win on Tuesday. Considering the Cobras have won ten matchups by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Maddie Sanders made a splash while hitting and pitching. She pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Sanders was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-2 with three RBI and one double.

In other batting news, Ady Rose Dowd was excellent, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-2. Another player making a difference was Jaide Shoop, who scored three runs while going 2-for-4.

Wesson always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .517. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Bogue Chitto only posted an OBP of .267.

Wesson's record is now 15-4. As for Bogue Chitto, their loss was their sixth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 8-13.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Wesson will square off against Port Gibson at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Blue Waves have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 16.5 runs per game on average), something the Cobras will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Bogue Chitto, they will face off against Terry at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Bulldogs have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 7.17 runs per game on average), something the Bobcats will no doubt try to take advantage of.
