San Mateo has gone 6-1 against Lincoln recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Wednesday. The San Mateo Bearcats will welcome the Lincoln Mustangs at 3:30 p.m. San Mateo will be strutting in after a win while Lincoln will be coming in after a defeat.
San Mateo took a loss when they played away from home on Thursday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Saturday. Their pitchers stepped up to hand Washington a 14-0 shutout. The Bearcats haven't had any issues with the Eagles recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.

Tyce Copus was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out 12 over six innings pitched. Those 12 strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in two of his five plate appearances with three stolen bases.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Jesus Olivas, who scored three runs while going 2-for-4. Christian Louie was another key player, scoring two runs while going 2-for-4.
San Mateo kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Washington only managed one hit.
Meanwhile, Lincoln came up short against Woodside on Monday and fell 6-2.
Lincoln saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Everett Carvalho, who scored a run while going 1-for-3. Xavier Malizia also deserves some recognition as he got his first hit of the season.
Lincoln's loss dropped their record down to 1-3. As for San Mateo, they now have a winning record of 2-1.
Lincoln's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: San Mateo has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 8.7 hits per game. It's a different story for Lincoln, though, as they've been averaging 10.2 hits. Given San Mateo's sizable advantage in that area, Lincoln will need to find a way to close that gap.
