Basketball Recap: Elkin Comes Up Short

Elkin lost against East Wilkes back in February and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Elkin Buckin' Elks took a hard 44-29 fall against the East Wilkes Cardinals. The game marked the Buckin' Elks' lowest-scoring match so far this season.

This is the second loss in a row for Elkin and nudges their season record down to 5-4. As for East Wilkes, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-6.

Elkin will take on Cornerstone Charter in a tournament on Thursday. East Wilkes and North Stokes will compete for holiday cheer at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. North Stokes will roll in looking for their tenth straight victory, something East Wilkes surely won't give up without a fight.
