Basketball Recap: Seton Catholic Central Knights vs. AuSable Valley Patriots
The Seton Catholic Central Knights's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their third straight loss. They took a hard 40-21 fall against AuSable Valley. Seton Catholic Central has not had much luck with the Patriots recently, as the team's come up short the last six times they've met.
Seton Catholic Central's loss came despite strong showings from Grace Trombley and Monique Allen. Trombley scored eight points along with seven rebounds and three steals, while Allen scored four points along with two steals. That was a full 38.1% of Seton Catholic Central's points, marking the sixth time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Seton Catholic Central's defeat dropped their record down to 7-9. As for AuSable Valley, their victory bumped their record up to 9-5.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Seton Catholic Central will face off against the Jaguars at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Johnsburg Central is out to stop a six-game streak of losses at home. AuSable Valley is on the road again on Wednesday and plays the Spartans at 7:00 p.m. on February 7th.
