Basketball Recap: Evansville Reitz Picks Up Sixth Straight Win on the Road

Evansville Reitz was handed a 28-point defeat in their previous outing, but that didn't affect their clutch gene on Saturday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Mt. Carmel Golden Aces, sneaking past 49-47. That's more bragging rights for the Panthers, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Bailey Hape was her usual excellent self, putting up 20 points and four steals. Kierstyn Kaiser was another key player, posting eight points and five steals.

Despite the loss, Mt. Carmel still got an impressive performance from Maycee Randall, who dropped a double-double on 23 points and 11 rebounds. Randall's afternoon made it four games in a row in which she has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Riley Hershey, who posted 12 points and six rebounds.

The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.8 points per game. As for Mt. Evansville Reitz wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 68-22 victory against North Harrison on the 27th. As for Mt.
