Baseball Recap: Middleton Comes Up Short

After flying high against Humboldt last Monday, Middleton came back down to earth. Middleton lost 13-1 to Halls on Tuesday. Middleton has struggled against Halls recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive lost meeting.

Middleton saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kamren Bumpus, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-2. Bumpus is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games he's played.

Middleton now has a losing record of 4-5. As for Halls, they moved to 10-7 with that victory, which also ended their three-game losing streak.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Halls beat Middleton by a score of 11-3 later that day.
