Football Recap: Annie Wright Continues Road Dominance on Friday

Annie Wright never let their opponents score on Friday. They blew past the Lynnwood Royals 20-0. Considering the Gators have won three games by more than 19 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

On the defensive side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Annie Wright's defense and their five sacks. The heavy lifting was done by Gus Guadnola and Josiah Edge, who racked up four sacks between them. Edge is also crushing it when it comes to total tackles: he's made at least five every time he's taken the field this season.

Annie Wright's victory was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 6-2. Those road wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 26.2 points over those games. As for Lynnwood, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-8.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Annie Wright will host Kingston at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Lynnwood, they will look to defend their home field on Friday against Jackson at 5:00 p.m. The Royals will be up against the Timberwolves' rather soft defense (which has allowed 35 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
