The Cadillac Heritage Christian Patriots had to endure a three-game losing streak dating back to last season, but that streak is no more. They took down Grand Traverse Academy 54-38 on Friday. That's another feather in the cap for Cadillac Heritage Christian, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Several Mustangs players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Nate Dix , who scored seven points along with three steals. Those three steals set a new season-high mark for him. The team also got some help courtesy of Weston Kinney, who scored seven points.
Grand Traverse Academy struggled to get the ball back on offense and finished the game with only three offensive rebounds. That's the fewest offensive rebounds they've managed all season.
The win got Cadillac Heritage Christian back to even at 1-1. As for Grand Traverse Academy, their loss was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 0-5.
Cadillac Heritage Christian will be home for the holidays to greet Mason County Eastern at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Grand Traverse Academy, they will head out on the road to face off against St. Mary at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. St. Mary is coming into the match on a three-game losing streak.
