Basketball Game Preview: Forest Park Panthers vs. Banneker Trojans + How To Watch

The Forest Park Panthers will take on the Banneker Trojans at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday. Forest Park will be strutting in after a win while Banneker will be coming in after a loss.

Forest Park proved they can win big on Saturday (they won by 34) and on Tuesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Mundy's Mill, sneaking past 47-45. The score was all tied up 19-19 at the break, but the Panthers were the better team in the second half.

Forest Park got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Noah Shy out in front who posted 15 points and three steals. Those three steals gave Shy a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Derrick Green, who dropped a double-double with 16 points and ten rebounds.

Meanwhile, Banneker was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat dating back to last season. They received a blow as they fell 69-53 to Mt. Zion.

Forest Park now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Banneker, their loss dropped their record down to 0-3.

Forest Park took a serious blow against Banneker in their previous matchup back in November of 2023, falling 66-21. Can the Panthers avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
