Baseball Recap: Hoke County Comes Up Short

Hoke County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 1-0 heartbreaker at the hands of the Richmond Raiders. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Bucks of the 12-2 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.

Hoke County's loss dropped their record down to 1-8. As for Richmond, their victory bumped their record up to 4-5.

Hoke County wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 9-4 win against Red Springs on the 19th. As for Richmond, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 9-4 victory against Montgomery Central on the 19th.
