Soccer Game Preview: Waterford vs. Gustine

The Waterford Wildcats will face off against the Gustine Reds at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.

Waterford is probably headed into the game with a chip on their shoulder considering Delhi just ended the team's four-game winning streak on Friday. They came up short against the Hawks, falling 4-1.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Gustine). They put the hurt on Stone Ridge Christian with a sharp 14-1 victory on Wednesday. Eric Mora was a massive factor in the win as he booted in six goals all by himself.

Waterford now has a losing record at 8-9. As for Gustine, they now have a winning record of 7-6.

Waterford suffered a grim 6-2 defeat to Gustine in their previous meeting back in January. That matchup was all but decided by halftime, at which point Waterford was down 4-1.
