Westlake is a perfect 4-0 against Southern since March of 2018 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Monday. The Wolverines will venture away from home to face off against the Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

While Wolverines fans will have to keep waiting for their squad to come home, they shouldn't be too worried about the road trip considering the result of Friday's season opener. They came out on top against La Plata by a score of 66-54 on Friday. The win continues a trend for the Wolverines in their matchups with the Warriors: they've now won three in a row.

Westlake found their leader in freshman Reagan Harris, who shot 53% from the field to rack up 22 points and six rebounds. Another player making a difference was Kobe Carter, who posted 13 points and six boards.

Meanwhile, Southern got the win against Great Mills on Saturday by a conclusive 41-21.

Westlake better keep an eye on Huntyr Marks. She was instrumental in Southern's win, putting up 17 points and four steals. That's the most steals Marks has posted since back in January. The team also got some help courtesy of Raigen Dieringer, who earned five points and four steals.

Everything came up roses for Westlake against Southern in their previous matchup back in March of 2020, as the team secured a 58-31 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Wolverines since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
