Softball Preview: Klein Bearkats vs. Klein Forest Eagles
Klein has gone a perfect 10-0 against Klein Forest recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Klein Bearkats will head out on the road to take on the Klein Forest Eagles at 1:30 p.m. Klein will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each match than the last.
On Tuesday, Klein sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 7-6 victory over Klein Cain. That's two games straight that the Bearkats have won by just one run.

Madilyn Schultz made a splash while hitting and pitching. She struck out ten batters over seven innings while giving up three earned (and three unearned) runs off six hits (and only one walk). She has been consistent : she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in five consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, scoring two runs while going 1-for-3. That's the most runs she has posted since back in February.
In other batting news, Brooke Hall was incredible, going a perfect 2-for-2 with three runs, one triple, and one double. That's the most runs she has posted since back in March of 2024. Reece Carpenter was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 3-for-4.
Meanwhile, Klein Forest was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their tenth straight loss. They lost 23-3 to Magnolia West.
Ryleigh Culberson made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored a run while going 2-for-3. Elecia Johnson also deserves some recognition as she hit her first triple of the season.
Klein's record now sits at 12-7. As for Klein Forest, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-12.
Klein took their win against Klein Forest in their previous meeting back in February by a conclusive 17-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for Klein since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
