Football Recap: Dynamic Duo of Malachi Jackson and Jayson Stafford Lead Whitehall-Yearling to Victory

Whitehall-Yearling won the last time they faced Bexley and things went their way on Friday too. The Rams came out on top against the Lions by a score of 20-10.

Leading Whitehall-Yearling to victory were Jayson Stafford and Malachi Jackson. Stafford rushed for 76 yards and one touchdown, while Jackson rushed for 38 yards and one TD. Another big playmaker for the Rams was Nate Jenkins Jr., who returned a punt for a touchdown.

Despite the loss, Bexley saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Ellis Clary rushed for 106 yards and one score. Those 106 rushing yards set a new season-high mark for Clary.

Whitehall-Yearling now has a winning record of 4-3. As for Bexley, they dropped their record down to 3-4 with the defeat, which was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season.
