Recap: Collins Hill Eagles vs. Lambert Longhorns
The Collins Hill Eagles have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four contests by 22 points or more this season. Everything went their way against Lambert on Saturday as Collins Hill made off with a 67-44 win. Given Collins Hill's advantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 93rd, while Lambert is ranked 238th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
It was another big night for Paris Fillingame, who scored 24 points along with three steals. Another player making a difference was Kaleigh Heywood, who scored 11 points along with eight rebounds and three steals.
Collins Hill has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 6-3 record this season. As for Lambert, they have fallen quite a ways from their 21-8 record last season and are now at 3-8.
Collins Hill will take on North Oconee in a holiday battle at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday at. North Oconee knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past four contests -- so hopefully Collins Hill likes a good challenge. Lambert will be home for the holidays to greet Walton at 1:30 p.m. on Thursday.
