Baseball Recap: Lake Havasu Triumphs

Lake Havasu proved they can win big on Thursday (they won by nine) and on Monday they proved they can win the close ones too. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 1-0 win over the Mountain Pointe Pride. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Knights have posted since April 6, 2024.

Lake Havasu's win was truly a team effort as five different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Koen Taylor, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one RBI.

Lake Havasu is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-8 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for Mountain Pointe, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-19 record this season.

Lake Havasu didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-1 win against Arizona College Prep on the 30th. Mountain Pointe does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
