Baseball Recap: Fort Wayne Bishop Luers' Win on Saturday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Fort Wayne Bishop Luers had to skate by with only a two-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the 15-run drubbing they dealt Woodlan on Saturday. The Knights were the clear victors by a 22-7 margin over the Warriors. That's more bragging rights for the Knights, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Ben Kiracofe and Chuck McBride did most of the damage at the plate: Kiracofe went a perfect 4-for-4 with five runs, two stolen bases, and five RBI, while McBride went 3-for-5 with two triples, five RBI, and three runs. Those five RBI gave Kiracofe a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Christian Brell, who scored three runs while going 3-for-3.

Fort Wayne Bishop Luers always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .660. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Woodlan only posted an OBP of .379.
