Football Recap: Spring Hill Takes a Loss

If Spring Hill was riding high fresh off their 38-13 takedown of Sabine last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Panthers were dealt a 62-15 defeat at the hands of the Center Roughriders on Friday. The Panthers were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 34-7.

Center's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Easton Wulf, who rushed for 140 yards and three TDs on only seven carries, and also threw for 171 yards and a pair of touchdowns while completing 77.8% of his passes. Wulf really tore up the turf during one magnificent 71-yard run. Jeremy Bluford was another key rusher, rushing for 192 yards and two scores while picking up 12.0 yards per carry.

Spring Hill's loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Center, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Coming up, Spring Hill will face off against Ford at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Center, they will square off against North DeSoto at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
